Benjamin Franklin
Early Life
Benjamin Franklin was born January 17,1706 as the tenth son and fifteenth child. At the age of twelve he became interested with printing. When he was seventeen he worked at his brothers print shop. This same year, Franklin proposed to fifteen year old Deborah Read, but Ben had to go to London at Governor Sir William Keith's request. His trip was extended and while he was gone Deborah married John Rodgers.The two did eventually get married and have three kids, William, Sarah (Sally), and Francis (Franky). Franky died of small pox at age four.
Inventions
Franklin is famous for creating inventions such as the franklin stove, the lightning rod, the long arm, the lightbulb, and the odometer. He was very interested with science and inventing. He invented the long arm,a long wooden stick with a mouth on the end, to reach books off his shelves that were too tall. The light bulb was to light houses. The lightning rod is used to keep lightning from striking your house and harmlessly puts them in the ground. The Franklin stove was not famous but was used to keep your house warm with out having all the smoke in your house as well.

Benjamin was very involved with printing, government, science and music. He played the guitar, the violin, the harp, and he even invented an instrument of his own. The glass armonica. it was made up of glass bowls that had an appealing sound when you rub your finger tips around the rims.
GovernmentBenjamin Franklin was very involved in his country. With his experience with printing he helped print the American money. He was the only man who signed the Declaration of Independence who also signed all the papers that led to the Declaration. Ben made many trips from America to England to France then back to America. When Ben was in France he say the first air balloon fly, he had plans to make it a faster easier way of travel, but Ben died before he was able to try.
Later LifeBenjamin Franklin died April 17, 1790. He was 84 when he died with at least 7 grandchildren. Franklin died a famous man how ever he was not exactly wealthy. His daughter, Sarah, married Richard Bache and had seven children. William didn't have any kids but he achieve
